What happens when we call google -OR- When we call echo — to action? Well where do I begin.
I started this project in 2017 and it has been the best home hobby I’ve gotten myself into thus far. I’ve been inspired to do automation because of my age and so I have executed automation with the idea that some day I may be bed-ridden and I would have to remotely open the door for a loved-one to enter my home. Then I realized the many additional benefits that I have gained(like: I don’t have to run up/down stairs to turn lights on/off. I don’t have to open/close doors to determine the status of the garage doors. How long can I be at the pool before skin exposure becomes severe and so on…). I have taken extra precautions to minimize the possibility of getting hacked although one of my devices had gotten hacked. Since then, I’ve implemented additional security measures and have not been hacked – knock on wood.
Featuring – Centralized Control Center accessible by multiple devices like, VOICE command, Smart Phone App, Desktop Computer, and Tablets. GPS capable to open/close garage doors while driving toward OR away from home, track family whereabouts should they become MIA.
Automation to turn select lights ON leaving home during -or- upon arriving home during the night hours – we will never come home to a dark home again. Automation to turn perimeter lights ON when opening the back door to exit the house or when opening the either side Gates…
Presence detection – who’s home and/or not home.
Accepts Google Home and echo commands.
And a lot more…
I have listed only a few examples in the following as there are too many features and functions to list.
Hey google! turn the Floor Lamp on
Hey google! turn Living Room Lights ON
Hey google! turn inside Garage Lights ON
Hey google! turn power2 ON (this command will turn on TV, and media devices,…)
and so on…
Hey google! Turn Sun-Room Lights ON
Hey google! Turn Basement Outside Light ON
Hey google! turn power1 on
This command will turn on lights and computer displays and media devices…
